Battle In Seattle Moves To DC

We’ve said for months that the anti-genetically engineered (GE) food rioting dubbed the “Battle in Seattle” was just the opening act of a newly formed activist coalition hell-bent on restricting choice. Glad to see the instigators agreeing with us. “Seattle was a coming out party,” says Nadine Bloch of the hyper-militant Direct Action Network. “This is all connected,” says Deborah Rephan of the wacko Environmental Media Services, speaking of protest groups eyeing Washington after savaging Seattle. Queuing up to march upon the federal city from April 8 thru 17th, anti-GE food protesters from Global Exchange and Friends of the Earth.
