Organic clients and activist allies of Fenton Communications bundled their PR spin on the pages of the Chicago Tribune in an article claiming organic food sales are “growing at record speed.” Unnamed “experts” predict organic food sales will “double and triple in the coming years.” The article directs readers to a series of alarmist anti-biotech websites run by Fenton, its clients, or its key allies. Except for one U.S. government site, all others disparage conventional and high-tech agriculture. No wonder scientists recently nicknamed Fenton and its clients the “Fear Profiteers.”
