The Politics of the Nanny Chefs

Despite Chefs Collaborative’s frequent claims to being a small, grass-roots group concerned only with local restaurants and farmers, we’ve been telling you about its larger agenda. Well, celebrity chef and anti-biotech guru Alice Waters has let the cat out of the bag in the upcoming March 5 issue of The Nation. “Eating is a political act,” she says, and is seconded by Rick Bayless and Ann Cooper.
