“Is Soda Pop Part of Solution to Global Warming?” This headline accompanied an Agence France Press story running in Pakistan’s Business Recorder. The premise? All those tiny carbon dioxide bubbles in your cola contribute to global warming. According to California “clean energy” businessman Ronald Bischoff, carbon dioxide that’s sold to beverage companies eventually escapes into the atmosphere. The story failed to note, however, that the mere act of breathing releases more CO2 than any can of soda. So, in the interest of saving the earth, we encourage Mr. Bischoff (and anyone else who would try to tell us what to eat or drink) to stop breathing at once.
