And speaking of keeping things in perspective, the Organic Consumers Association (OCA) is out this week working on a pressing issue – they’re picketing Starbucks, with leafleting and protests scheduled. Without reference to last week’s events, the group announced plans to harass Starbucks customers in over 300 U.S. cities – including New York and Washington – this week as they try to get a cup of coffee.

“Starbucks must either give in to the demands of consumers around the world for a non-genetically engineered product line, Fair Trade coffee, and social justice, or else they run the risk of further damage to their reputation and bottom line,” says OCA’s Ronnie Cummins, his finger on the pulse of what really matters to Americans.
