PETA’s blitzkrieg against popular restaurants — and consumer choice — rolls on. “Now that giants like McDonald’s, Burger King, and Wendy’s have agreed to conform” with PETA’s edicts, the group gloats in a press release, “it’s Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins turn to get in step.” In a separate but otherwise identical release, PETA singles out yogurt chain TCBY for targeting.
PETA’s battle plan is laid plain: “chain pizza joints, ice cream and yogurt shops, donut shops, and major grocery store chains” — all are in PETA’s sights, and the businesses and their customers are targeted for harassment and intimidation.
