For Butter Or Worse?

This shocking news just in from Reuters: “Although many Americans have adopted the healthy eating practices recommended by various health professionals, one third of adults still select whole milk over skim milk, and more than 80% add butter or some other type of fat to their baked potatoes and bread, researchers report.”

Imagine the horrors to come if such troubling behavior is allowed to continue. Soon consumers may be adding milk and sugar to coffee, putting cheese on their pasta, or even placing meat in between slices of bread!

But while the story’s theme may be laughable, the results of such “research” are not. One researcher says “results from this study identify dietary behaviors that should be targeted in dietary guidance messages” (which would be paid for by “Twinkie Taxes” on foods). Translation: More regulations and more restrictions on your right to choose your own diet.
