Cheese is many things to many people. For some of us, it’s the perfect salty chaser to a fine wine, or a wonderfully gooey part of the ultimate pizza.
To the Center for Science in the Public Interest, of course, it’s just another target in a long line of “bad foods” that should “be taxed out of people’s reach. And to the leadership at PETA, it’s the moral equivalent of Hannibal Lecter’s last meal.
But according to the British Dental Journal, cheese is also a good defense against tooth decay. Go ahead – read that again. Isn’t science wonderful? Health Scout News reports that it “probably has something to do with putting calcium right where the teeth are.”
