Over the past year, we’ve been hard at work pushing back against nanny state policies. Radical vegan activists are trying to stop you from eating meat, and the food police continue to attack your right to choice and personal responsibility.
Their new line of attack is claiming that unhealthy foods are addictive in an effort to subvert personal responsibility and pass regulations, restrictions, warning labels and taxes on snack foods and sodas.
Needless to say, we’ve have our hand full this year!
In March, we mocked Mayor Bloomberg’s attempt to ban large soda and reminded New Yorkers of our full-page ad featuring the nanny state mayor in a dress. We are pleased to report that the ban was blocked and never implemented.
Our HumaneWatch project continues to grow tremendously. Thanks to our efforts, more and more Americans are learning that the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) operates zero pet shelters and donates less than 1% of its budget to local shelters. We have more than 500,000 Facebook followers, and more than 3 million viewers have seen our “Lawyers in Cages” video.
If you have any interest in supporting our work and want to help us keep up the fight in 2014, I hope you’ll use the following link to make a tax-deductible donation to our efforts: https://secure.consumerfreedom.com/
Thanks in advance for your support and have a Happy New Year!
