The BBC is reporting that a new consumer group has sprung up in Great Britain, dedicated to the proposition that “the UK government has no right to try to bully people into eating the foods it thinks they should be eating.”
Noted British chef Antony Worrall-Thompson is the first celebrity to line up behind the group, which calls itself “The Free Society.” Talking about politicians’ penchant for using “fat taxes” as “a form of social engineering,” he told the BBC: “We have to nip this culture in the bud. Let people make their choice.”
