Getting himself elected to the Sierra Club’s board of directors last summer was only half of Paul Watson’s plan. As the Center for Consumer Freedom first revealed, the animal-rights lunatic and high-seas eco-terrorist’s goal is to stack the Club’s board with like-minded radicals and use the green organization’s massive wealth and influence to further his extreme agenda. This year’s election results are in, and Watson’s dream of leading an animal-rights Sierra Club will have to wait another year. In response to his sound defeat, Watson whined to the Associated Press: “It was completely unfair.” Watson’s sour grapes aren’t likely to keep him down long. He still has plenty of ships to sink and people to terrorize. And of course, his attempts to steer the Sierra Club in a more radical direction are sure to continue.
