Santa Slims Down, Kids Get Scrooged

It’s just two weeks until Christmas Day. And there’s one question on everyone’s mind: “Who made Santa’s ‘naughty’ list?” This year, Meme Roth, the U.S. Surgeon General, and a slew of other anti-fat activists are practically guaranteed to get coal in their stockings for attacking the big man’s physique. Luckily, the Center for Consumer Freedom defended St. Nick and his bowl full of jelly on ABC’s World News over the weekend, asking:

Are we going to melt a few pounds off Frosty the Snowman? Or what about the Easter Bunny? He’s looking kind of chubby.

This latest food cop campaign may be seeing a backlash against its shrill rhetoric and Big Brother agenda. Hopefully, that attitude will spread to other nanny-like initiatives such as fast food zoning, menu labeling, and outright food bans. It’s time for the public to push back. As we told ABC viewers: “This is really getting out of control.”
