Cheap Way To Advertise

Natural health food industry representative Michelle Cook bashes every food choice except organic foods and vegetables in a self-serving column in today's Ottawa Citizen. Organic Worth The Price?

Nannies' arguments for buying organic foods are dismissed by David Lineback, director of the Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition at the University of Maryland in today's USA Today: "Organic foods offer no special culinary, health or safety benefits, and growing them carries its own ecological burdens. Organic Scam

Repeating many of our arguments, Junkscience.com's Steve Milloy says, "[D]on't fall for the 'USDA Organic' label and unjustly reward the food scare-mongers and fear profiteers. 'Ripoff!' is the only label that belongs on organic food."

Environmental Concern Or Marketing Plan?

Greenpeace's unwarranted genetically improved foods fear mongering has so upset consumers that many of them will buy only organic food products. Greenpeace is stepping in to fill the organic demand it created with its own line of organic products, on sale now in Brazil. Don't be surprised to see Greenpeace products on a supermarket shelf near you soon. ("Greenpeace to license organic products in Brazil," Agence France Presse, 12/12/00)
